About me..
Hello.. I'm Kristina Smith, a qualified integrative counsellor. I believe that every person has their own unique story, and that taking time to understand our experiences can help us make sense of who we are and how we move through life.
My work is rooted in a person centred approach, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of everything I do. I aim to offer a warm, compassionate, and accepting environment where you feel comfortable to be yourself and explore whatever feels important, at a pace that feels right for you.
As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to each individual. Together, we may explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped your sense of self and the way you relate to others. Often, the ways we think, feel, and respond are influenced by earlier experiences. By developing a deeper understanding of these patterns, it can become easier to make sense of the present, discover new perspectives, and create lasting change.
I have extensive experience supporting young people aged 11 to 25 and also work with adults aged 16 and over. I see counselling as a collaborative process that offers time to pause, reflect, and develop a greater understanding of yourself.
My hope is that, through our work together, you feel more connected to yourself and better able to move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Prior to my counselling work, I gained extensive experience working with children and young people, working in primary schools, pre-school, and colleges.
I am able to offer online counselling or sessions can take place face to face in my private counselling room from September 2026.
My Training & Qualifications:
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
